Before treatment8 questions

Is the consultation free, and do you do a test flash?

Citiwell specialist

Yes. The consultation is free, and the test flash (patch test) is done at the same consultation. The practitioner assesses your skin and hair, asks about recent tanning, medication and past skin reactions, and only then chooses the settings.

How much does laser hair removal cost at Citiwell?

Citiwell specialist

Prices are in Serbian dinars and depend on the area. Women's packages: 2 areas 5,990 RSD, 3 areas 7,990 RSD and 6 areas 11,990 RSD; full legs 4,990 RSD. Your first visit is 20% off. The Prices page lists all areas, boundaries and prices for women and men.

How should I prepare for the treatment?

Citiwell specialist

For 5–7 days before treatment, avoid active tanning, solarium and self-tanner. Hair in the treatment area should be shaved in advance, but not removed with wax, tweezers or sugaring, because laser needs the hair follicle. On the treatment day, skin should be clean, with no creams, oils, deodorant or heavy cosmetics on the treated area.

Can laser be done in summer or on tanned skin?

Citiwell specialist

Laser can be done in summer, but it is important not to come with an active fresh tan and to protect the skin from the sun. Fresh tanning, solarium and self-tanner increase the risk of irritation and pigment changes. If the skin has recently been exposed to sun, it is better to consult a specialist and choose a safe interval before treatment.

Are there contraindications?

Citiwell specialist

Yes. Before the first treatment, the specialist checks skin condition, tanning, medications and relevant health details. Treatment is usually postponed during pregnancy, fresh tanning, active skin inflammation, tendency to keloid scars, active herpes, some acne medications and certain medical conditions. If you have doubts, mention them before the treatment, it protects your skin.

From what age can I have laser hair removal?

Citiwell specialist

From 18. Clients aged 16 or 17 can be treated only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must come to the studio with them. We do not treat anyone under 16.

During treatment3 questions

Does it hurt?

Citiwell specialist

Laser hair removal usually feels like short warm tingles or a light snap on the skin. Sensitive areas, such as bikini or upper lip, may feel more intense, but the treatment is usually comfortable. Mild redness and warmth can appear after the session and normally fade quickly.

Which laser do you use, and what wavelength?

Citiwell specialist

Citiwell K-21 diode laser: 808 nm working wavelength, 1600 W emitter power, a sapphire contact window with ICE Chill cooling down to −5 °C. It is not IPL (photo-epilation). CE marking and ALIMS — conformity and authorisation; the device documentation can be seen at the studio.

Is laser hair removal suitable for all hair types?

Citiwell specialist

Laser works best on dark and dense hair because it responds to pigment in the hair. Blonde, grey, red and very fine vellus hair may respond less effectively. During consultation, the specialist assesses the area and explains honestly what result you can expect.

After visit4 questions

What should I avoid after laser hair removal?

Citiwell specialist

After treatment, protect the skin from sun, avoid tanning and do not use a solarium. During the first days, it is better to avoid overheating, strong friction, scrubs and aggressive cosmetics on the treated area. If redness or warmth appears, a cool compress and the specialist recommendations can help.

How many days after treatment does hair fall out?

Citiwell specialist

Hair does not disappear during the session itself. It usually sheds gradually over several days or weeks, and this is a normal part of the process. During this period, it can look as if hair keeps growing, but the skin is actually pushing out treated hairs.

Can I shave between treatments?

Citiwell specialist

Yes, you can shave between treatments. Do not remove hair from the root with wax, sugaring, epilator or tweezers, because this prevents laser from working with the follicle. Shaving does not interrupt the course and helps you wait comfortably for the next session.

What should the interval between treatments be?

Citiwell specialist

The interval depends on the area and hair growth speed. Treatments are often done approximately every 4-6 weeks, but the exact plan is best selected by the specialist after assessment. Sessions done too often do not speed up the result because laser needs to wait for a new active hair growth phase.

Results3 questions

How many treatments are needed for a visible result?

Citiwell specialist

The first changes are often noticeable after 1-2 treatments: hair grows more slowly and becomes thinner and softer. A course is usually needed for a stable result because laser works on hair in the active growth phase, and not all hair is in that phase at the same time. The number of sessions depends on the area, hair density, hormones and individual skin response.

Can one treatment make hair disappear forever?

Citiwell specialist

Laser hair removal provides long-term reduction of hair growth, but it does not guarantee that hair will never appear again. After a course, skin stays smoother for a long time, and if hair returns, it is usually thinner, lighter and less dense. Occasional maintenance treatments may be needed to keep the result.

Why choose laser instead of waxing or sugaring?

Citiwell specialist

Laser does not work only on the visible part of the hair, but on the hair follicle, so the result lasts longer than regular hair removal. Over time there is less hair, it grows more slowly and often becomes thinner. It is a good option for anyone tired of constant shaving, irritation, ingrown hairs and regular depilation planning.
